Why we teach
the way we do.
Instead of keeping students isolated in practice rooms, we believe the best way to learn music is to actually play it with others. At Selah, we pair lessons with real, hands-on experience through JAM sessions, live worship settings, and group collaboration right from the start.
We believe music is meant to be shared, not practiced in isolation. Rather than confining students to individual practice rooms, we emphasize collaborative learning from the very beginning. By integrating lessons with ensemble sessions and live worship environments, we teach students the critical skills of listening, blending, and performing as a cohesive band. This immersive approach yields tangible results: within just a few months, we frequently see absolute beginners develop the competence and natural confidence required to serve on a worship team.
Our goal isn’t just to teach notes on a page. We want to raise up musicians who know how to collaborate, serve, and thrive both on and off the stage.

Selah exists as the training arm for the Worship Ministry of Every Nation Church Malaysia. Built from the inside out to raise musicians, vocalists, and worshippers who serve their local church well. Through classes in Selah, we eventually prepare you to serve the church, be it in Every Nation Church Malaysia, or anywhere you are called to serve His kingdom.
Our programme operates out of the Every Nation Church facilities in Bandar Puchong Jaya and Every Nation Campus Sunway (where our youth services are held). This is a deliberate choice. Because our classrooms, ensemble spaces, and Sunday services share the same building, the transition from learning to leading is seamless. The environment where our students practice connects directly to the stage they will eventually stand on.

Questions.
We welcome students of all ages. Our Musikgarten programme is designed for children aged 3–7, while instrument programmes accept students from approximately age 7 and above. Adult learners are always welcome — it is never too late to begin.
No prior experience is required. Our teachers meet each student where they are. Whether you are a complete beginner or returning to music after years away, we will design a learning path that fits you.
Standard individual lessons are 45 or 60 minutes depending on the programme and level. Musikgarten group sessions run approximately 45 minutes. Your teacher will recommend the appropriate duration during the initial consultation.

Keyboards, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Bass Guitar, Drums, Rhythm and Percussion, Saxophone, Flute, Ukulele and Vocals — plus our Musikgarten early childhood programme and our new Worship Dance classes. Contact us if you're looking for something not listed; we are always growing.
Tuesdays for kids and Wednesdays for teens and adults, at Every Nation Church Malaysia, Puchong. Classes are led by Guinevere Liaw. Beginners are welcome — no dance experience needed.
Our class fees are standardised at RM 160 and RM 180 per month, plus a one-time RM 20 registration fee for new students. Speak to our team and we will confirm which rate applies to the class you are interested in.
Please notify us at least 24 hours in advance if you need to reschedule. We will do our best to arrange a make-up lesson subject to teacher availability. See our Terms & Conditions for the full policy.
Academy instruments are available for your first few lessons. We recommend acquiring your own instrument as soon as possible for regular home practice. Our teachers are happy to advise on suitable beginner instruments within your budget.

Terms & Conditions.
Please read these terms carefully. By enrolling at Selah Worship Academy you agree to the policies outlined below.
Enrolment is confirmed upon receipt of the completed registration form and payment of the registration fee. The registration fee is non-refundable. Selah Worship Academy reserves the right to decline any application at its discretion.
Students must provide accurate personal information at registration. Any changes to contact details must be communicated to the Academy promptly.
Monthly tuition fees are due on or before the 7th of each calendar month. Fees are charged for the full month regardless of lessons attended.
- Late payment beyond 14 days may result in suspension of lessons.
- Fees are subject to revision with at least 30 days' notice.
- All fees are payable in Malaysian Ringgit (RM).
Lessons are scheduled on a fixed weekly basis unless otherwise agreed. Students are expected to attend all scheduled lessons punctually.
- Absent without notice: No make-up lesson will be provided.
- Absent with ≥24 hours' notice: A make-up lesson may be arranged subject to availability.
- Public holidays: Lessons will be rescheduled by mutual agreement.
The Academy reserves the right to reschedule lessons in the event of teacher illness or unforeseen circumstances.
One (1) calendar month's written notice is required for withdrawal. Notice must be submitted by email to selahworshipacademy1@gmail.com or delivered in writing.
Fees for the notice period are payable in full and are non-refundable. The Academy may terminate enrolment immediately in cases of misconduct, non-payment, or breach of these terms.
All students are expected to treat teachers, staff, and fellow students with respect. Mobile phone use during lessons is discouraged. Academy premises and equipment must be used responsibly.
Parents or guardians of minor students are responsible for ensuring timely pick-up. The Academy does not assume responsibility for students outside of scheduled lesson times.
Selah Worship Academy collects personal data (name, contact information, payment details) for enrolment administration, lesson scheduling, and communication.
- Personal data will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.
- Students or guardians may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data at any time.
- By enrolling, you consent to photography or recording for educational or promotional purposes. You may opt out in writing.
Governed by the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (Malaysia).
The Academy shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury sustained on the premises beyond what is covered by our insurance policy. Students are encouraged to look after their personal belongings. The Academy is not responsible for instruments or valuables left unattended.
Selah Worship Academy reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions at any time. Students will be notified of material changes with reasonable notice. Continued enrolment constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
